How to: Set Connection Options (Devices)

Visual Studio offers many options for connecting the development computer to a device. Use the Device Properties dialog box to manage these connections.

Visual Studio includes emulator connections defaulted to the DMA transport and physical devices defaulted to TCP/IP.

Note

Your computer might show different names or locations for some of the Visual Studio user interface elements in the following instructions. The Visual Studio edition that you have and the settings that you use determine these elements. For more information, see Visual Studio Settings.

To set connection options

  1. On the Visual Studio Tools menu, click Options.

  2. Expand Device Tools, click Devices, select a device or emulator, and then click Properties.

Use the associated dialog boxes to select and configure your connections.
