How to: Display the System View Window

When working in System Designer, the System View window lists definitions of applications and systems available in the solution. When working in Deployment Designer, the System View window displays the members of the root system, including all applications from other systems that the root system includes.

Typically, the System View window opens by default when you open System Designer or Deployment Designer. However, if the System View window is closed, use the following procedure to open it.

To open the System View window

  • On the View menu, point to Other Windows, and choose System View.

In System Designer, you can drag from the System View window to design a system on a system diagram. In Deployment Designer, you can drag from the System Window to bind applications to logical servers on a deployment diagram. Binding applications describes how applications from a single system deploy to a specific logical datacenter..
