How to: Attach Files to Work Items

You can attach any kind of file to a work item. You might want to attach a screen capture that illustrates a problem, a line of code in a text file, or a product feature's specification.

Alternatively, adding a hyperlink might be more appropriate. For example, many specification and presentation files are now accessed from group Web sites. For more information, see How to: Add Hyperlinks to Work Items.

Required Permissions

To perform these procedures, you must be a member of the Contributors group or have the View work items in this node, and Edit work items in this node permissions set to Allow. For more information, see Team Foundation Server Permissions.
