Virtual Server Configuration

Use the Virtual Server Configuration page of the Microsoft SQL Server Installation Wizard to define the IP address configuration for the virtual server.

Options

Displays the name of the virtual server at the defined IP address.
  • Network to use

  • IP Address

To avoid IP address conflicts, make sure that the IP addresses assigned to the heartbeat and to SQL Server 2005 are not shared by any other application.

  • Network Subnet
Displays the network subnet supplied by the Microsoft Cluster Service.
  • Add
Adds a network and IP address to the Selected Networks and IP Addresses dialog box.
  • Remove
Removes the selected network and IP address from the Selected Networks and IP Addresses dialog box.
  • Selected Networks and IP Addresses
