Depending on your requirements, Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Setup installs a new instance of SQL Server, upgrades an existing instance, or provides maintenance options. The following topics address important considerations for the computer where SQL Server 2005 will be installed. Before you install SQL Server 2005, review the following information.

If you modify permissions on a domain user account to run SQL Server Setup, be sure to revoke those permissions after Setup completes. |
