The GetIdentifierFromEmail method of the SPUtility class returns the ID of the site user based on the specified e-mail address.

Parameters

web   A Microsoft.SharePoint.SPWeb object that represents the site.

email   A string that contains the e-mail address.

Return Value

A string that contains the ID.
