Creating Your Own DTM Jobs

In addition to executing the “Designed for Microsoft Windows” logo tests, you can use Driver Test Manager (DTM) to run your own tests. You do this by creating and executing jobs.

A job contains tasks, which usually run a test and perform related activities. A job can be constrained so that it can only execute on client computers that have certain characteristics. You can define parameters for the job, either when you create the job or when you execute it, to enable the same job to perform different, but related, tasks.

Jobs can be executed, saved, and shared. When a job is executed, DTM identifies a client computer that matches the job’s constraints, then executes the job’s tasks on the client computer.
