Activate and Deactivate Advanced Design Features

The advanced design features in the Web Site design tools included with Microsoft Office Live Small Business provide design controls and options above and beyond those automatically included in your account. To use the advanced design features of the Web Site design tools, you must first activate them for the Office Live Small Business account. If you want to hide these design tools later, you can deactivate them when you have finished.

Note

If you deactivate the advanced design features, you may not be able to edit some properties within components that have been added to your Web site. To edit these properties, you must reactivate these features.

Activate the advanced design features of the Web Site design tools

  1. On the left navigation bar, click Web Site.

  2. Click Site actions, and then click Activate advanced design features.

Deactivate the advanced design features of the Web Site design tools

  1. On the left navigation bar, click Web Site.

  2. Click Site actions, and then click Deactivate advanced design features.
