Run an association

When you run an association, Planning Business Modeler copies fact data from the source model to the destination model, and uses the dimension and member mappings that you specified.

Note

To run an association, every source and destination dimension must be either mapped or scoped. In addition, the source model and the destination model must be deployed.

You can decide to run an association directly, or run an association by scheduling a job.

You must be a member of the Data Administrator role to run an association. For more information, see Security and roles.

The following procedure provides steps for running an association.

To run an association directly in the Association workspace

  1. In the Workspace Browser pane, select Associations, and then click the name of the association that you want to open and run.

To run an association, the association must be checked in to the model. If necessary, click Check In from the Association Tasks pane.

  2. In the Association Tasks pane, click Available Actions. The Available Actions for <association name> dialog box appears**.**

  3. In the Select action list, select Execute.

  4. For each parameter in the Parameters list, select the parameter name and then select a Value from the drop-down list.
