How to: Dimensions and Members
Planning Business Modeler provides two categories of dimensions: predefined dimensions and user-defined dimensions. You can use predefined dimensions as generated, but some modifications may be required to handle your current data structure and naming conventions.
A dimension member is a discrete name or identifier that is used to identify the position and description of a data item in a dimension. You can organize dimension members into member sets, and then use member sets to create models that contain the data that is used by applications.
A member set should include all the dimension members that are required for the calculations that a model performs.
