Planning Business Modeler includes a collection of rule templates that you can use to help create rules for other common business tasks and calculations.

In This Section

• Run rate template
  Calculates average periodic amount for a selected time span from a source scenario, and then populates a target scenario with that value

• Scenario crossover template
  Populates a target scenario with data from two different source scenarios

• Grow by percent template
  Increases designated values across time by a fixed growth rate

• Grow by amount template
  Increases designated values across time by a fixed amount

• Allocation with driver account template
  Distributes a cost or resource from a specified allocation account to the same account that is associated with designated descendants. The rule determines the amount of each allocation, based on a proportion of a specified account called the driver account.

• Even amount allocation template
  Distributes a cost or resource from a specified allocation account to the same account that is associated with designated descendants. The rule distributes the allocation evenly across all descendants.

• Seeding template
  Seeds a designated model slice for next year based on a corresponding slice from this year.

• Ratio between two accounts template
  Calculates a ratio between two accounts as a percentage
