Use Unified Communications Managed API version 1.0 to create endpoints for SIP-based middle tier communications and collaboration applications. A user creates an endpoint to enable communication with other users. UCMA exposes two types of endpoints.

  • The SipEndpoint is a real-time endpoint that can be used when there is a server available for discovering and communicating with other users.
  • The SipPeerToPeerEndpoint is a real-time endpoint that can be used when there is no server infrastructure available. This type of endpoint also can be used when a proxy server that does not require registration is available.
