Report Wizard User Interface Reference (Visual Studio)

This section provides F1 Help for the version of the Report Wizard that you run from Visual Studio. It is used to create client report definition (.rdlc) files that you use with the ReportViewer controls in Visual Studio.

If you want to write reports that run from a SQL Server Reporting Services report server, you should use the Report Wizard provided in report projects in Business Intelligence Development Studio to create Reporting Services report definition (.rdl) files.

For more information on the Report Wizard, see Creating Client Report Definitions Using the Visual Studio Report Wizard.
