QueryTable.SavePassword Property

True if password information in an ODBC connection string is saved with the specified query. False if the password is removed. Read/write Boolean.

Syntax

expression.SavePassword

expression   A variable that represents a QueryTable object.

Remarks

This property is used in both ODBC and OLEDB queries, and by both PivotTables and QueryTables.

If you import data using the user interface, data from a Web query or a text query is imported as a QueryTable object, while all other external data is imported as a ListObject object.

If you import data using the object model, data from a Web query or a text query must be imported as a QueryTable, while all other external data can be imported as either a ListObject or a QueryTable.

You can use the QueryTable property of the ListObject to access the SavePassword property.

This property is ignored if the ListObject is connected to a SharePoint list.

Example

This example causes password information to be removed from the ODBC connection string whenever query table one is saved.
