Custom "How Do I" Pages

"How Do I" pages consolidate Help topics about common tasks on a per technology basis. For example, Visual Studio Help includes a "How Do I" page for Visual Basic, another for Visual C#, another for Smart Devices, and so on.

Custom "How Do I" pages can be added to highlight common tasks in Help documentation sets for Visual Studio add-ins or VSPackages. Custom "How Do I" pages appear in the How Do I drop-down on the Standard toolbar of the Microsoft Document Explorer.

Because a "How Do I" page is authored in HTML, you can design a custom How Do I page to have a unique appearance, or you can model it after the How Do I pages supplied in Visual Studio.
