Targeting Countries/Regions or Metro Areas

Microsoft adCenter allows ad groups to be targeted by country/region or metro areas. To target an ad group for a country/region, use the CountryTarget object and the CountryTarget element of the LocationTarget object.

To target an ad group for a metro area or multiple metro areas, use the MetroAreaTarget object and the MetroAreaTarget element of the LocationTarget object.

Note:
Country/region targeting and metro area targeting are mutually exclusive; that is, you cannot specify a country/region target and a metro target for the same ad group. Additionally, if you target metro areas, all the metro areas must be in the same country/region.

For an example of how to target ad groups, see How to Target Ad Groups in C# (V5.1).

Important:
Microsoft adCenter API version 4 is obsolete and is no longer available. Version 5.1 is the current version. For more information, see Microsoft adCenter API Programming Reference (5.1).
Microsoft adCenter allows orders to be targeted by country/regions or metro areas. To target an order for a country/region, use the TargetDetailsForACountry class and the LocationTarget.countryTarget property.

To target an order for a metro area or multiple metro areas, use the TargetDetailsForAMetroArea class and the LocationTarget.metroAreaTarget property.

Note:
Country/region targeting and metro area targeting are mutually exclusive; that is, you cannot specify a country/region target and a metro target for the same order. Additionally, if you target metro areas, all the metro areas must be in the same country/region.
