The User Interface consists of ways that a user can interact with their device and its applications.

  • Accessibility
    Provides information on making your software usable and accessible to a wide range of users, including those with disabilities. The Accessibility functionality in Windows Embedded CE includes options that allow persons with disabilities to use computers more easily.
  • Keyboard
    Describes the keyboard support provided by Windows Embedded CE.
  • Mouse
    Provides information on the use of a mouse in a Windows Embedded CE-based device.
  • Software-based Input Panel
    Provides information on the Software-based Input Panel which enables target devices that do not have a keyboard to simulate keyboard input by using an input method (IM).
  • Touch
    Provides information on interacting with a Windows Embedded CE-based application by using a stylus and a touch screen. The stylus and the touch screen provide a direct and intuitive alternative to a mouse.
  • Soft Keys
    Describes the soft keys and virtual keys enabled by Windows Mobile.
  • Graphics, Windowing and Events (GWES)
    Provides information about the interface between the user, your application, and the operating system (OS). GWES incorporates the Microsoft Win32® application programming interface (API), user interface (UI), and graphics device interface (GDI) libraries.
