This function sends a message.

Syntax

HRESULT RIL_SendMsg(
  HRIL hRil,
  const RILMESSAGE* lpMessage,
  DWORD dwOptions
);

Parameters

  • lpMessage
    Message to be sent.
  • dwOptions
    Specifies the option value. Can be set to any combination of the message send constants.

Return Value

Positive HRESULT values indicate success and are used as command identifications for matching the asynchronous call result. Negative HRESULT values indicate an error. Errors are defined in the Ril.h file.

An asychronous result of RIL_RESULT_OK indicates success. The lpData notification parameterpoints to a DWORD containing the reference number of the sent message.

Remarks

The RIL proxy translates the RIL_SendMsg function into IOCTL_RIL_SendMsg when the RIL proxy calls RIL_IOControl.
