Setting up the Marvell PXA27x Processor Development Kit Hardware (MainstoneIII)

The following steps show you how to connect the Marvell PXA27x Processor Development Kit (MainstoneIII) to a development workstation.

To set up the Marvell PXA27x Processor Development Kit hardware (MainstoneIII)

  1. Connect one end of the NULL modem cable to the COM port (BTUART) on the Marvell PXA27x Processor Development Kit (MainstoneIII), labeled J47, and connect the other end of the NULL modem cable to the COM1 port on your development workstation.

  2. On your development workstation, configure your terminal emulation software (such as Microsoft HyperTerminal) to the following settings:

    Bits per second Data bits Parity Stop bits Flow control

    38400

    8

    None

    1

    None

  3. Connect an available Ethernet cable to the Marvell PXA27x Processor Development Kit (MainstoneIII).

  4. Plug the Marvell PXA27x Processor Development Kit (MainstoneIII) power cord to a power source.
