This inline function subtracts two 4-D vectors in floating point format.

Syntax

D3DMXVECTOR4* D3DMXVec4Subtract(
  D3DMXVECTOR4*       pOut,
  CONST D3DMXVECTOR4* pV1,
  CONST D3DMXVECTOR4* pV2
);

Parameters

  • pOut
    [in, out] Pointer to the D3DMXVECTOR4 structure that is the result of the operation.
  • pV1
    [in] Pointer to a source D3DMXVECTOR4 structure.
  • pV2
    [in] Pointer to a source D3DMXVECTOR4 structure.

Return Value

This function returns a pointer to a D3DMXVECTOR4 structure that is the difference of two vectors.

Remarks

The return value for this function is the same value returned in the pOut parameter. In this way, the D3DXVec4Subtract function can be used as a parameter for another function.
