Connect to Business Contact Manager data from Excel 2007

To connect to Business Contact Manager data, do the following:

  1. In Excel, create a new file.
  2. Select the cell where you want to insert the Business Contact Manager data.
  3. Click the Data tab.
  4. In the Get External Data group, click From Other Sources, and then click From SQL Server.
  5. Type the server name, Computer Name\MSSMLBIZ, and then click Next.
  6. In the list, click the appropriate Business Contact Manager database.
  7. In the list of tables, do one of the following:
    • To access Accounts, select the PublicAccountsView view.
    • To access Business Contacts, select the PublicContactsView view.
  8. Click Next.
  9. If you want, type a description.
  10. Click Finish.
  11. In the Import Data dialog box, click OK. The resulting Business Contact Manager data appears in read-only format.
