Microsoft Office Project Server is now completely dependent upon Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services to support its user interface, farm topology, and administration features. Project Server 2007 shares the same administration infrastructure as Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 and other 2007 Microsoft Office system server products.
Project Server administration, deployment, and maintenance features are built on the Windows SharePoint Services platform, which results in tighter application integration and easier management. The common platform helps to reduce the total cost of ownership compared with earlier versions of Project Server and provides increased support for collaboration in your organization.
