PC Authentication Registry Settings (Windows CE 5.0)

Send Feedback

The PC Authentication Catalog item uses the registry to store information required for querying lock/unlock status.

In addition, code that uses the PC Authentication Catalog item often sets Local Authentication Subsystem (LASS) registry settings to register the PC Authentication Local Authentication Plugin (LAP). For more information about these settings, see LASS Registry Settings and Setting up the PC Authentication LAP on a Windows CE Device.

The HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\VoIPLap key contains PC Authentication settings.

Value : type Description
PCHostName : REG_SZ Default setting is the empty string.

Stores the name or IP address of the desktop computer that the LAP attempts to query for lock/unlock status. To set and retrieve this value, use GetPCSyncName and SetPCSyncName; do not modify this registry setting directly.
