Microsoft CRM Data Migration

This section describes the schema of the Common Data Format (CDF) database that is used to prepare data for migration to Microsoft Business Solutions CRM. This information can be used to create source adapters for specific source databases.

The Microsoft Business Solutions CRM Data Migration Framework provides the CDF database and the tools for migrating data from the CDF database to Microsoft CRM. The following diagram shows how the Microsoft CRM Data Migration Framework works with custom source adapters. In order to use a custom source adapter to migrate data, you must have Microsoft CRM and the Microsoft CRM Data Migration Framework installed, and you must initialize the CDF database with data from Microsoft CRM.
