Pocket Internet Explorer Security

Pocket Internet Explorer supports all common security schemes, including the following:

  • SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0, and Server Gated Cryptography (SGC)
  • NTLM authentication and clear text authentication
  • Passport authentication
  • Client authentication

The key sizes described in the following table are included and supported in Pocket Internet Explorer.

Pocket Internet Explorer 2000 Pocket Internet Explorer 2002
Supports up to 64-bit encryption out of the box.

An add-on pack upgrades the security of Pocket Internet Explorer to support 128-bit encryption.

Supports 128-bit encryption out of the box. No upgrade is required.
