(Pocket PC and Smartphone)

Provides an end user with the capability to disconnect GPRS by turning on flight mode, which turns off all radio connections including the phone.
Note   On Pocket PC only, you can set the registry key HKLM\ControlPanel\Phone\Flags2 to 0x08 (GSM) or 0x18 (CDMA) to enable a disconnect button for GPRS connections to appear in the connectivity list.
Database and API for Second Display Content and Access to Telephony States

(Pocket PC and Smartphone)

Provides an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) with the capability to track and poll additional status information through more direct access to platform APIs and the new Statutory database. This information can be used by an OEM for display in a custom second display user interface. This eliminates the need for an OEM to write code to track changes that were not easily exposed in the previous Statutory database.

Examples of tracking state changes include tracking call progress states, such as incoming call, call connected, conference calling, call waiting, dropped calls, and ended calls, or tracking profile settings which need to persist between reboots.

Wi-Fi and WWAN Switching Improvements

(Pocket PC and Smartphone)

Provides an end user with smoother application and transfer behavior across Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN) and Wi-Fi when the device supports both networks.

Provides an end user with better status on whether WWAN or Wi-Fi is in use through separate data and phone title bar icons.

Connection Manager Wi-Fi Settings Improvements

(Pocket PC and Smartphone)

Provides an end user with easier access to Wi-Fi settings. On a device that has both Wi-Fi and WWAN, provides better status information to view which network the device is connected to, and provides easier switching between networks.
Soft Key and Title Bar Gradient

(Pocket PC and Smartphone)

Applies a gradient pattern to the soft key and title bar areas. The hue, which defines color, can be changed in this region. The gradient pattern cannot be changed.
Icons for Discovered Bluetooth Devices

(Pocket PC and Smartphone)

Displays icons in the list of discovered devices when an end user scans for Bluetooth devices. The icons represent the class of the device, for example, headset.
Bluetooth Setup Experience Improvements

(Pocket PC and Smartphone)

Provides an end user with the capability to identify the class and services of the remote device during the partnership discovery process.
