This section provides detailed information about the Windows Mobile-based Messaging API (MAPI) data types described in the following table.

Data Type Description
BOOKMARK An unsigned long integer that is used to define bookmarks — data for remembering a position in a table.
HRESULT A 32-bit value that is used to describe an error or warning.
LHANDLE An unsigned long integer that is used in Simple MAPI as a session handle.
SCODE A 32-bit status value that is used to describe an error or warning.
TCHAR A Microsoft Win32® character string that can be used to describe ANSI, double-byte character set (DBCS), or Unicode strings.
