Internet Explorer Mobile Security
Internet Explorer Mobile supports all common security schemes, including the following:
- SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0, and Server Gated Cryptography (SGC)
- NTLM authentication and clear text authentication
- Passport authentication
- Client authentication
Internet Explorer Mobile also supports zones. For more information, see URL Security Zones.
Internet Explorer Mobile ActiveX Controls (SP only)
ActiveX controls in Internet Explorer Mobile must not call trusted APIs. Internet Explorer Mobile now runs normal on the Windows Mobile–based Smartphone. ActiveX controls that require trusted APIs will not function properly and should be updated.
