Determining OS Design Audio and Display Driver Support (Windows CE 5.0)

Use the following steps to check which audio and display drivers your OS design currently supports. You can also add additional driver support from the Catalog.

Verifying that an OS design has the correct drivers to support specific hardware is an essential step in preventing problems with multimedia content.

To check your audio and display drivers

  1. In the Workspace window, choose the OSDesignView tab.

  2. Expand the top node of the OSDesignView tree.

  3. Expand the node for the board support package (BSP) you are interested in and then expand the Device Driver node.

  4. Expand the Audio and Display nodes.

The drivers that your OS design supports are shown beneath the Audio and Display nodes.

To add audio and display driver support from the Catalog

  1. In the Catalog, expand the Catalog node.
  2. Expand the Device Drivers node and then expand the Audio and Display nodes.
  3. Add support for the listed drivers to your OS design by right-clicking the driver and choosing Add to OS Design.
