Running the Two-Card NDIS Test (Windows CE 5.0)

Send Feedback

The Two-Card Network Card Miniport Driver Test assesses functionalities of the driver by using two network cards. The second card, called the support card, is used as a control channel.

If the Windows CE-based device does not support multiple cards, you can run this test on two devices with the second device hosting the support card. In this case, run the NDIS Two-Card Network Card on Two Machines Test. You must also use this test if the test NIC is a Wireless LAN NIC. For information about this test, see Testing NDIS Miniport Drivers by Using the Windows CE .NET Test Kit.

Although not desirable, but it is acceptable if 2c_MulticastReceive fails. In this case, the test NIC and the miniport driver indicate the multicast packets to the upper layer of the stack that were sent to multicast addresses not set in the multicast address list of the miniport driver. If the test NIC and its miniport driver fail to filter the unwanted multicast packets, then the protocol layers, such as TCP/IP, perform filtering.
