COM+ is the next evolution of Microsoft® Component Object Model (COM) and Microsoft Transaction Server (MTS). It builds on and extends applications written using COM, MTS, and other COM-based technologies. COM+ handles many of the resource management tasks that developers previously had to program, such as thread allocation and security.

Use COM+ to develop distributed applications based on the Microsoft Windows® platform.
