add-in

A Visual Basic procedure and any objects the procedure opens, which are stored in a database and can be added to or removed from the Microsoft Access user interface by using the Add-In Manager.

Some add-ins, such as Microsoft Access wizards, are installed with Microsoft Access. You can also create your own add-ins or buy them from third-party vendors.
