Enterprise Resource Creation Methods

New methods in the PDS for Microsoft Office Project Server 2003 provide the capability of programmatically adding, deleting, and updating new resources in the enterprise resource pool.

The new resources API allows you to programmatically create and edit enterprise resources to help integrate Project Server with other line-of-business systems. For example, you can develop an extension to a Customer Resource Management (CRM) or Human Resources (HR) application that creates new resources in the Project Server enterprise resource pool, based on business rules in the external application — without using the Microsoft Office Project Professional 2003 client.

The resources API does not support the creation of resource rates, resource calendars, resource availability, contoured baseline rates, or contoured baseline costs.
