The optional Parental Control registry values reside under the subkey:

      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Common\Research\PC

Note  The Parental Control registry settings are for internal use by the Research task pane only.

DisableNonPC DWORD Internal use only. Boolean that determines whether services that do not support content filtering are disabled:
  • True (1). The Research task pane makes the provider and its services unavailable.
  • False (0). The provider and its services behave normally.
 No False (0) is assumed if absent.
