Creating Projects for Visual Basic for Applications

The following process outlines the steps to create a new Microsoft® Visual Basic® for Applications (VBA) project. After creating a project, you can start adding other projects and items to the open application.

To create a new VBA project

  1. Open an Office XP application.
  2. From the Tools menu, select Macro, and then select Visual Basic Editor.
  3. The Visual Basic Editor window is displayed. From the File menu in the Visual Basic Editor, select New Project.
  4. The New Project dialog box is displayed. Click a Project icon that reflects the type of project you want to create.
  5. Click OK.
