When you have specified a default workflow process (WorkflowEnabled property) for a Microsoft® Exchange 2000 Server folder or SharePoint Portal Server folder, you must activate workflow to apply the workflow process to items in the folder.

To enable a workflow process

  1. Open the Development Environment. Open an existing solution, or use File, New to create a workflow project. The solution, along with any of its projects and existing workflow processes, is displayed in the Solution Explorer.

  2. Select the workflow project from the Solution Explorer.

  3. From the View menu, select Property Pages. You also can right-click the project in the Solution Explorer, and select Properties from the context menu.

  4. To enable workflow, select the Workflow enabled on this folder check box, or in the Property Grid set the WorkflowEnabled property to True.

  5. Click OK.

**Caution   **Before deleting a workflow-enabled folder, deactivate workflow for the folder.
