<remove> Element for <httpModules>

Removes a reference to a module. The value of <remove> must exactly match that of a previous <add> directive.

<configuration>
   <system.web>
      <httpModules>
**         <remove>**

<remove name="ModuleName"/>

Required Attribute

Attribute Description
name The name under which the module was previously added using <add>.

Example

The following example removes the OutputCache module.

<configuration>
   <system.web>
      <httpModules>
         <remove name="OutputCache"/>
      </httpModules>
   </system.web>
</configuration>
