TextWriter.WriteLine Method (String, array<Object[])

Writes out a formatted string and a new line, using the same semantics as Format.

Parameters

  • arg
    Type: array<System.Object[]
    The object array to write into format string.

Exceptions

Exception Condition
ArgumentNullException

A string or object is passed in as nulla null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).

ObjectDisposedException

The TextWriter is closed.

IOException

An I/O error occurs.

FormatException

The format specification in format is invalid.

The number indicating an argument to be formatted is less than zero, or larger than or equal to arg.Length.

Remarks

This method does not search the specified String for individual newline characters (hexadecimal 0x000a) and replace them with NewLine.

If a specified object is not referenced in the format string, it is ignored.
