Command <name> does not accept arguments or switches.

This error generally occurs when a switch or argument has been entered with a command or alias that does not use arguments or switches. If an alias has been entered, the full command name appears in the error message text, not the alias name. To correct this error

  • Re-enter the command and arguments or enter a new command.
