MSDN Industry Center - Public Sector - OBA RAP for E-Forms Processing

In the majority of the Public Sector organizations today, forms processing is a highly manual, paper intensive, and labor intensive undertaking. Technology and automation provide numerous opportunities to optimize related end-to-end processes that could yield significant cost reductions and an enhanced end-to-end experience for external users, citizens, customers, and organization workers.

This RAP is comprised of a reference architecture and solution that illustrate how an OBA (Office Business Application) can be built to automate and optimize forms processing in a Public Sector organization. The RAP utilizes Microsoft InfoPath 2007, Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007, Microsoft InfoPath Forms Services, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Windows Workflow Foundation. The reference scenario is based on the application form and process to obtain a hunting and fishing license from a state agency. The underlying solution framework is generic and can be readily adapted to enable end-to-end processing of similar forms.

Click on the Download link (above), log in using your Windows Live ID, and select the OBA RAP program. Tip: If you are new to Connect, read the Microsoft Connect Introduction to learn how Microsoft Connect works and how to enroll.
