Parameters

context
Type: System.ComponentModel..::.ITypeDescriptorContext

An ITypeDescriptorContext that provides a format context.

text
Type: System..::.String

The String to convert.

Return Value

Type: System..::.Object

An Object that represents the converted text.

ExceptionCondition
NotSupportedException

The conversion cannot be performed.

An exception is raised if the string cannot be converted into the appropriate object. The default implementation always returns nullNothingnullptra null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).

Use the context parameter to extract additional information about the environment from which this converter is invoked. This parameter can be nullNothingnullptra null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic), so always check it. Also, properties on the context object can return nullNothingnullptra null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).
