Gets a PROPVARIANT structure from a specified property key.

Syntax

HRESULT GetProperty(
  [in]  REFPROPERTYKEY key,
  [out] PROPVARIANT    *ppropvar
);

Parameters

[in] key

Type: REFPROPERTYKEY

A reference to a PROPERTYKEY structure.

[out] ppropvar

Type: PROPVARIANT*

Contains a pointer to a PROPVARIANT structure.

Return value

Type: HRESULT

If this method succeeds, it returns S_OK. Otherwise, it returns an HRESULT error code.
