How to: Delete Connections from Application Diagrams

In Application Designer, you can delete connections from between applications. Deleting a connection does not delete endpoints on connected applications nor does it affect connections on system diagrams. However, deleting connections between implemented applications affects project files that reference the connection. For certain applications, connections are manifested as entries in the configuration file associated with an implemented consumer application. Deleting such connections will modify the configuration file entry.

For example, a connection between a Web service provider and consumer endpoint is manifested as a configuration file entry that matches the location or URL of the Web service provider endpoint. Deleting this connection removes the location or URL information from the configuration file entry.

To delete a connection from between applications

  1. On the diagram, select one or more connections you want to delete.

  2. Press the DELETE key or choose Delete from the Edit menu.

The selected connections are deleted from the diagram.

    Tip

You can also right-click the connection and choose Delete.
