How to: Group Type Members
In Class Designer, you can group type members within their compartments on the class diagram by their kind, access modifier, such as Public or Private, or alphabetically.
To group members of a type
From the project in Solution Explorer, open the class diagram for the type.
On the Class Diagram menu, choose the group order that you want.
All the shapes on the current diagram update their compartments to reflect the selected order.
You can also set the group order by right-clicking a blank location on the diagram and selecting a group order from the shortcut menu, by setting the Group By property for the diagram in the Properties window, or on the Class Designer toolbar.
