Adapters in BizTalk Server
Here you will find adapters that ship in the BizTalk Server 2006 product. These adapters include the Base EDI (Covast), File, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, POP3, SOAP, SQL, MSMQT, Web Services Enhancements (WSE) 2.0, Windows SharePoint Service (WSS), and the Windows Communication Framework (WCF) adapters.

Developing Adapters using the BizTalk Adapter Framework
This page is for developers who are writing their own custom adapters due to existing ones not meeting their business requirements. The Adapter Framework makes this development process easier and more consistent.

Developing Adapters using the Microsoft Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) Line-of-Business (LOB) Adapter SDK
The WCF LOB Adapter SDK adds metadata browsing, searching, and retrieving functionality on top of the WCF channel model. It also provides tools for generating and testing adapter code. An adapter built using the Adapter SDK is represented as a type of custom WCF Binding. These adapters can communicate with BizTalk Server 2006 R2 using the BizTalk WCF Adapter, and can also be consumed within custom .NET applications. Line of Business Adapters in BizTalk Server
These include JD Edwards OneWorld XE, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, ODBC for Oracle, Oracle eBusiness Suite, Tibco Rendezvous, Tibco Enterprise Message Service, PeopleSoft, SAP, and WCF-based adapters.
The newly released BizTalk Adapter Pack is also included on this page. It contains the Microsoft BizTalk Adapter 3.0 for Oracle Database, Microsoft BizTalk Adapter 3.0 for mySAP Business Suite, and Microsoft BizTalk Adapter 3.0 for Siebel eBusiness Applications.
