_Presentation.CheckInWithVersion Method

Returns a presentation from a local computer to a server, and sets the local file to read-only so that it cannot be edited locally.

Namespace:  Microsoft.Office.Interop.PowerPoint
Assembly:  Microsoft.Office.Interop.PowerPoint (in Microsoft.Office.Interop.PowerPoint.dll)

Syntax

'Declaration
Sub CheckInWithVersion ( _
    SaveChanges As Boolean, _
    Comments As Object, _
    MakePublic As Object, _
    VersionType As Object _
)
'Usage
Dim instance As _Presentation
Dim SaveChanges As Boolean
Dim Comments As Object
Dim MakePublic As Object
Dim VersionType As Object

instance.CheckInWithVersion(SaveChanges, _
    Comments, MakePublic, VersionType)
void CheckInWithVersion(
    bool SaveChanges,
    Object Comments,
    Object MakePublic,
    Object VersionType
)

Parameters

  • SaveChanges
    Type: System.Boolean
true saves the presentation to the server location. The default value is false.
  • Comments
    Type: System.Object
Comments for the revision of the presentation being checked in (only applies if SaveChanges equals true).
  • MakePublic
    Type: System.Object
true allows the user to perform a publish on the presentation after being checked in. This submits the document for the approval process, which can eventually result in a version of the presentation being published to users with read-only rights to the presentation (only applies if SaveChanges equals true).
  • VersionType
    Type: System.Object
    Version number of the presentation.

Remarks

To take advantage of the collaboration features built into Microsoft PowerPoint, you must store presentations on a Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server.

For the VersionType parameter, you can also pass a constant from the PpCheckInVersionType enumeration.
